The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire will hold a training camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates as part of preparations for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The highly-rated Ivorians will begin the camp on January 5 to fine-tune for the tournament. During their stay in the gulf region, they are expected to test their readiness against some local clubs.
On January 17, the Francois Zahoui guided team will face Lebanon in the final test game before departing for Equatorial Guinea.
The Elephants are targeting their second title at the continental flagship event after their only triumph in 1992 in Senegal. They were the only team with a hundred percent record during the qualifying series, winning all six matches.
Cote d’Ivoire are housed in Group B alongside Burkina Faso, Angola and Sudan. They open their campaign against the Desert Hawks of Sudan on January 22, play Burkina Faso four days later and Angola on January 30 all in Malabo.
