Samsung committed to volleyball

Samsung Electronics has restated its commitment to the development of volleyball in Nigeria following the sponsorship of the 2011 Beach Volleyball Tour organised by the Nigerian Volleyball Federation in Abuja recently.

The Nigeria Immigration Service won the men and women’s categories of the competition, beating the Benue State teams respectively.

Head, Corporate Marketing, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Donald Etim, said the partnership between the company and the volleyball federation would change the focus of the game and make it more attractive to Nigerians to appreciate.

He said, “It is a boost for volleyball and for the federation that Samsung has pledged to make the beach volleyball championship a yearly event. With that commitment, we can only look forward to a more robust and well organised competition next year.”
