Corinthians president Andres Sanchez is confident of landing Carlos Tevez if the Manchester City striker decides to return to South America.
Having had a very public falling out with City boss Roberto Mancini, the forward is desperate to leave Eastlands during the January transfer window.
AC Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all keen on player but Tevez is said to be open to returning to either Corinthians or Boca Juniors.
Should the striker reject the advances of some of Europe’s elite, Sanchez is in no doubt that the Argentine forward will end up back in Sao Paulo.
“I said if he decides to leave Europe that he would come to Corinthians first because Argentina does not have the same [economic] conditions as Brazil and also because it is near there,” the club president told Globoesporte.
“I just think he is not going to Boca because they do not have the conditions there. But if he gives up 80 per cent of his salary, he will go back to Boca.”
Tevez has not played for City since allegedly refusing to come on as a substitute in the club’s Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena at the tail end of September.
