Jerry Santo has joined Albanian side KF Tirana after leaving Simba in November. The midfielder, who was a hit with Vietnamese side HAGL earlier in the year, has been notably absent from the Kenya national team squad due to match fitness concerns.

He is currently working on his documentation as he tries to avoid the same fate that witnessed former Thika United striker Moses Arita and Sofpaka’s ex-defender James Situma delay their return to the club due to visa problems.

The former Tusker midfield maestro will now join a pool of Kenyan players such as captain Dennis Oliech, McDonald Mariga and Victor Wanyama, who have joined top flight European clubs.

The last time Santo earned a national team call-up was before the Seychelles World Cup qualifiers, when he was dropped by coach Francis Kimanzi.
