Wassaman United recorded only their second game of the season with a smooth 2-0 victory over Liberty Professional at the Essipong Stadium.
Mahadi Abubakar scored from a gleeful rebound on the 40th minute before former Hearts of Oak striker Ekow Ghansah came off the bench to confirm victory for the relegation-trapped side.
Herbert Addo infected massive alteration in his squad for the game naming former premier league player of the season Kweku Essien in midfield.
The changes in the lineup created huge differences as scoring one and creating the other.
Wassaman had expressed dominance but were unable to find the net until five minutes left for recess.
Essien swept a screaming shot at goal which Daniel Agyei failed to make a first time save and the onrushing Mahadi blasted home the lead.
Liberty tried to get themselves into the game but Michael Helegbe and his men were held in check.
Herbert Addo’s side managed to get another ball in Liberty’s net but the goal was adjudged as a foul on Black Stars second choice Daniel Agyei.
Ghansah came off the bench to seal the victory for Wassaman United.
Abubakar attempt to grab a brace on his debut but Daniel stopped again and Ghansah arrived just in time to connect home for the second goal.
