Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has received some positive news from the treatment room in the build-up to the Primera Division match at home against Barcelona on Saturday as he will only be without Ricardo Carvalho for the Clasico.
The experienced centre-back sustained a sprain on the internal lateral ligament of his right knee late in November and has since been working on his comeback.
Carvalho initially hoped to be match fit in time for the Clasico, but the former Portugal international still hasn’t resumed regular training.
Full-back Alvaro Arbeloa is the only other player who has some minor fitness problems ahead of Saturday’s match, but the former Liverpool defender’s availability is not in doubt.
The match at Santiago Bernabeu kicks off at 22.00CET.
