Bordeaux have reportedly agreed a deal with Fluminense to sign Mariano for a fee of €3.25 million.
The Brazilian defender will arrive in France on December 28 to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Ligue 1 outfit, according to RMC Sport.
Mariano, who was voted as the best right-back in this year’s Brazilian championship, could be joined at Bordeaux by Valenciennes midfielder Carlos Sanchez.
The Colombian has just six months left on his current contract and RMC Sport are reporting that Bordeaux, who are currently 12th in Ligue 1, are considering a bid for the player during the winter transfer window.
