Arsenal will be looking to maintain their seven match unbeaten run when they host Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Their latest run of form has seen the Gunners climbing up to 5th place in the Barclays Premiership, 10 points ahead of Everton in 10th place.

With Arsenal already guaranteed progress to the next stage, Arsene Wenger fielded a weakened side during the 3-1 loss to Olympiakos, and he will be hoping that his regular players will be motivated to do better against the inconsistent Everton side.

The Gunners have won four and drew one of their last five matches, the least being a 4-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, while Everton have lost two of their last five matches, with the other three ending in draws.

Robin Van Persie has been scoring important goals for Arsenal and he will be expected to do the same at home against David Moyes’ team.

However, Arsenal are a bit thin in defence with Andre Santos, Bacary Sagna, Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson all battling with injuries.

Everton go into this game off the back of a disappointing 1-0 loss to Stoke City, and will be looking to return to winning ways.

Louis Saha, who missed the last two matches due to a thigh strain could return for David Moyes’ side this weekend.

Everton midfielder Seamus Coleman says the Toffees will go into Saturday’s clash with confidence.

“We are going to try and win the game like we always do. Sure it would be good to come out with at least a point but we always feel we can beat the big teams when we come up against them. It will be tough, no doubt about it, but we are going there to try and win,” he said.
