Accra — Angolan Trade minister, Maria Idalina Valente, is ending this Saturday her participation in the seventh ordinary session of the African Union (AU) Conference of Trade Ministers, taking place in Accra, Ghana.
The information is contained in a note released by the Angolan Embassy in Ghana.
According to the source, the participants in the event discussed the need to boost the Intra-African Trade and the speeding up of the continent’s Free Trade Zone.
The issues discussed are linked to the preparations of the 8th ministerial conference of World Trade Organisation slated for mid December in Geneva, as well as different preferential systems.
In this ministerial session, in which Angola takes up the second vice chairmanship, was preceded by he meeting of experts and high ranking officials of the African Union.
Idalina Valente is accompanied by senior officials of the Trade Ministry and Angola’s diplomatic missions in Ghana, Geneva (Switzerland) and Ethiopia.
