BURUNDI’S dominance of the first half of the last group B match against record winners Uganda in the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup has seen the Swallows edge the Cranes 1-0 in Dar es Salam Thursday evening.
Burundi hit the pole twice as the attack-minded side pressurized Uganda until the goalkeeper Robert Odongkara’s poorly timed ball hit the pole before it bounced into the net in the first half.
In the 2009 CECAFA Uganda walloped Burundi 5-0.
