    Beckham eyes Olympic dream

David Beckham’s sights are fixed on playing in the London Olympics next year, but the superstar said on Thursday he was less sure about his future when his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy ends.

The 36-year-old former England captain, who is in the Philippines as part of a week-long Asian tour by LA Galaxy, told reporters he still had to make up his mind about his future.

Asked about his Olympic hopes, Beckham said “I am very proud to be playing for my country. I would like to be part of the (Great Britain) team. Hopefully I will be involved in that and I’ll be going (home) in the summer.”

But he was less sure about who he would be playing for after his LA Galaxy contract expires at the end of the year.

“I’m proud of the time I spent with Galaxy. It might continue but at the end of the day, I have to make that decision, but I haven’t made it yet,” he said.

LA Galaxy had a “tough game” when it earned a 1-0 win over a spirited Indonesian All Stars on Wednesday, Beckham said, adding that he expected another hard game against the national team, the Philippine Azkals on Saturday.
