They’re known the world over as one of the most beloved couples, and now Prince William and Kate Middleton have been named Official Ambassadors for Great Britain for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Williams’ brother Prince Harry, are thrilled at the honor and can’t wait to get started.
Prince William told press, “Catherine, Harry and I are honored to be Ambassadors for Team GB and Paralympics GB. London hosting the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will inspire so many people — particularly the young — to be the best they can be.”
“We are hugely looking forward to this incredible sporting competition, but are also looking beyond next summer’s Games to the springboard it will provide for future success and excellence.”
