CHRISTIANS have been called upon to take steps to protect their minds from being taken over by negative or destructive thoughts which work against sound Christian practice and nation building.

The call was made by the Church of Pentecost, Koforidua Area Head, Apostle S.K. Ofosu during his pre-retirement tour of the church’s zones in the Koforidua area.

Apostle S.K Ofosu noted that many families were tearing apart as a result of reasons which are anti-Christ and called on married couples to play their rightful conjugal roles as laid down in God’s plan for them.

Apostle S.K. Ofosu, who spoke on a number of issues, said God laid the plan for mankind’s salvation using the method of adoption to expand admission into His kingdom.

He continued that Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God was sent to implement God’s salvation plan through evangelism or proclaiming the message of salvation, his death and resurrection from the dead.

Apostle Ofosu continued that the Holy Spirit, who is the third person in the Godhead, was equally sent to outdoor the plan of salvation for mankind.

He added that it was for this reason that the apostles of Jesus Christ were told to wait in Jerusalem till the fulfillment of the promise of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.

He told the congregation that it was imperative that end-time Christians go through physical and spiritual challenges which put their finances, family and occupational life to the test.

The area head urged them not to give up on their faith but fight on in hopes of receiving a crown when Jesus Christ makes his second appearance.

In a related development, the Akwapim Zonal Chairman of the Church of Pentecost and District Pastor for Aburi, Rev.Ewusie Ocran said the Akwapim Mampong district branch of church will be outdoored on September 16

A mega retirement service for Apostle Ofosu will be held at the Pentecost Senior High School at Koforidua on Sunday August 21, he added.

Pastor Ewusie Ocran said Apostle Ofosu was retiring from active service of the church after having served for 36 years.
