A family source told the Daily Graphic that around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, the deceased, who lived in a single room apartment with her children, told the children that she was going to the lavatory.
However, after waiting for some hours without her returning, the children decided to investigate her whereabouts.
It said when the children went to the lavatory in the house, they did not see their mother, a development that made them quite apprehensive.
The source said in the course of their investigations, the children found Dufie’s body in the uncompleted room with the sponge around her neck.
According to the source, the deceased had seven children with her late husband, with the youngest being about seven years.
