Ajimobi’s cabinet

Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi says his administration will soon forward the cabinet list for screening by the House of Assembly.

Ajimobi has been criticised for delaying the inauguration of his cabinet since he came to power last May 29.

The governor, however, dismissed the insinuation that the delay was caused by the problems in the state chapter of the Action Party of Nigeria in the state.

He said, “The Oyo ACN is intact and not enmeshed in crisis as rumoured and perceived by some people with inordinate interest.

“The rumour that we are at loggerheads is unfounded and mischievous. I am with the party, the national and state chairmen of the ACN are with me. So, how come people say we have some misunderstanding?

“Oyo State is noted for being strong in rumour factory. People just say what they don’t know. I just told you the party is solid. We won’t allow people to heat up the polity by peddling unsubstantiated rumour.”
