Newcastle United’s pre-season tour was littered with controversy and manager Alan Pardew is hoping to put things right ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Two players were disallowed entry to the USA because of visa issues whilst Jose Enrique landed himself in hot water after criticising the club for not investing in the squad via his Twitter account.
To add to that, Hatem Ben Arfa suffered an injury setback but Pardew says he will work with the players to put things right in the next few weeks.
“We really saw the good, the bad and the ugly on tour,” he told The Sun.
“But I’m pushing the players a bit harder than usual to make sure they are top of their game.”
