After seeing his Manchester United side lose to Barcelona in the Champions League final in May, Patrice Evra is gunning for revenge over the Catalans this campaign.
The Frenchman has now suffered defeat at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s men twice in a United shirt and could get the chance on Saturday to make amends as the two teams face each other in a friendly.
“I give Barcelona a lot of respect but I’d like to play against them again in the Champions League final and win,” he told reporters in the US where United are playing out a pre-season tour.
“I have already lost to them twice and it’s very painful.
“At the moment they are the best team in the world, which is difficult for us to accept because that is what we want to be.”
