Dr Arthur Kennedy, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has advised members and supporters to use decent language in the campaign for the 2012 general election.

Winger Shaun Wright-Phillips is refusing to give up on his hopes of staying at Eastlands and ending his career at Manchester City, despite having missed out on some of the team’s finest moments last season.

The England international hasn’t extended his deal at Eastlands beyond the end of the coming season and both Bolton and Wigan are keen to sign the pacy winger.

The 29-year-old was not part of the squad which put an end to City’s 35 trophy-less years by winning the FA Cup at Wembley, but he is convinced that he still has a role to play in Roberto Mancini’s squad.

He told The Mirror: “It was hard for me last year when I was left out of the FA Cup Final team. I thought it might be the end, but I’m not one to give up.

“I would love to earn a new contract. I want to stay here beyond the end of this coming season.

“Since reporting back for training I have really got my head down and given 100 per cent,

“I haven’t spoken to the manager. But it has gone well for me and I will never give up on City.”
