A communications tower about one hundred feet tall has been planted in Bomi County by the GSM Company, CELLCOM to serve contributors and users of the company’s mobile phones in that eastern part of the country.
During the dedication ceremony on July 21, 2011 in Sasstown, Bomi Highway, CELLCOM Public Relations Officer, T-Max Jlateh told the people that the first GSM Company to introduce quick and easy communications facility in the country, has more for its customers and subscribers.
The Senior Senator for Bomi Country Richard Divine, Superintendent, and Samuel T. Brown led an array of local authorities and citizens at the ceremony who expressed appreciating to the CELLCOM Management for bringing redemption to them in the GSM world.
In another development CELLCOM has reaffirmed its support to Liberia’s National team, the Lone Star and the development of football in Liberia.
CELLCOM’s Vice President for Administration, Vida Mensah made the statement at the LFA headquarters on Benson Street in Monrovia when the Book of Condolence was officially signed by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the death of Liberia’s Hungarian Coach, Bisckie who met his demise in Hungary as a result of cancer.
Madam Vida Mensah said though the government of Liberia has statutory mandate for football development in Liberia, CELLCOM as the lead and proud sponsor of Lone Star, the Liberia National team will remain hopeful in CELLCOM’s decision to promote the game of football in the country.
The CELLCOM Executive then reminded Liberians to keep giving their moral support as CELLCOM Management will do everything possible to ensure Liberia’s national team, the Lone Star to regain ground in the world of soccer and participate in all games to bring pride to the people of Liberia.
