Luanda — Foreign ministers of Brazil and Guinea-Bissau, respectively, António de Aguiar Patriota and Adelino Mano Queta, arrived Thursday in Angola, to participate in the XVI Cabinet Council of the Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), to be held Friday in Luanda
The Brazilian minister, coming from Guinea-Bissau, where he fulfilled an official mission, was welcomed at the Luanda International Airport, by his country’s ambassador to Angola, Ana Lucy Cabral Petersen.
In his turn, Adelino Mano Queta was received by his country’s general consul in Angola, José Issac Monteiro, and the political and diplomatic advisor, Cipriano Gomes.
The XVI Ordinary Meeting of the CPLP Cabinet Council will be held in Luanda, Angolan capital, with the motto “The role of CPLP within the United Nations”.
The meeting will be chaired by Angolan Foreign minister, Georges Chicoti, attended by members of the Angolan Executive and representatives of the diplomatic corps based in Angola.
Issues related to economic relations in the international organs will also be discussed at the meeting being promoted by the Angolan Foreign Ministry.
The Cabinet Council will be attended by Angola, Cape Verde, Sao Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Brazil, Portugal and East Timor, and observers members, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius and Senegal.
