Muslims across Nigeria have been advised to begin preparation for the Muslim’s Holy month of Ramadan, which comes up in two weeks time.

The Naibul Ameer (vice -president), Da’wah of The Muslim Congress (TMC), Imam Ismail Busari, who gave the advice yesterday in Abuja at the 1432 (2011) pre-Ramadan Seminar, jointly organised by The Fiqh Forum (TFF), TMC and Al-Muminat, advised that preparation for the month is one of the pillars of fasting itself. He listed intention to observe the fast for Allahs’ sake, going to Umrah (lesser hajj) during the month, planning financially, physical fitness, administratively and logistically among others, as part of activities that enhances one’s reward during the period.

He also reminded Muslims to be fervent in their prayers to Allah and reminded them of some of Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) prayers, “Allahumo Barik Lana fii Rajab, wa Sha’aban, wa balig naa Ramadan” (May Allah blesses us in Rajab and Sha’aban and make us alive and prosperous in Ramadan).
