The Holy Trinity Spa and Health Farm (HTS/HF) has added another department to its chain of health facilities at Sogakofe in the Volta region.

The facility, which is a fish farm, is meant to encourage the consumption of fresh fish which will promote healthy lifestyle.

According to the Director-General of the farm, Dr. Felix Anyah, the new fish farm will also provide the Spa’s restaurant with fresh and unpreserved tilapia to feed clients.

He noted that the excessive intake of meat increases the risk of getting prostate cancer, hence the need to eat healthy food.

He stated that the fish farm will also help brand the tourism potential of Sogakofe, since according to him, people will always visit the place for their fresh tilapia.

He said the vision of the Spa “is to expand the frontiers of our benchmark innovative health/medical services by fusing preventive, curative and rehabilitative alternative and complementary health services into orthodox health in a restful and rejuvenating ambience.”

He encouraged the youth in the area to venture into fish farming since it requires little capital and provides enormous financial benefit.

The former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Kenneth Dzirasah also urged staff of the Spa to work hard to expand the facility.
