A political youth leader in Bauchi State, Malam Abdulrahaman Ibrahim Sade, has denounced reports in some news publications he said were designed to target some highly-placed individuals of Bauchi extraction. Sade said, in an e-mailed statement that: “It was alleged that some aides of FCT Minister Sen. Bala Muhammad, were involved in some shaddy deals, reported in the Desert Herald of 7th June, 2011, obviously culled from a notoriously unprofessional news site Pointblanknews.com.” He observed that from all indications, it could be seen that it is highly likely that some politicians are behind it.

Sade said if the news medium was not up for mischief, it would have called on the minister to substantiate the genuineness or otherwise of the allegations, pointing out that it was rather suspicious that it was when the minister’s name had been submitted and was due for screening by the senate that the reports surfaced.

Sade says he sees the newly appointed minister differently. “The Kauran Bauchi is doing very well in his portfolio, and we Bauchi people are proud of him,” said the youth leader. He also noted that for Sen. Mohammed to be re-appointed minister by President Goodluck Jonathan, to the same ministry, shows the kind of faith, trust and commitment the president has in his ability.”

Sade added: “Every good leader has detractors who will go to any length to smear his reputation. And we in Bauchi have an abundance of good leaders.” Sade is also an Ambassador for Peace, appointed by the World Youth Peace Federation and founder of Advocacy for Peace and Development.
