Yuguda is my mentor, says FCT minister

The FCT Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has said that Governor Isa Yuguda is his brother and mentor who has impacted on him positively to be where what he is today.

The minister made the declaration yesterday while receiving the Bauchi State governor who paid him a courtesy call at the FCT Minister’s Banquet Hall at Gwarimpa I District, Abuja.

The minister reiterated that the visit is a landmark to him because he had missed the warm company of Governor Yuguda for a very long time.

Senator Mohammed noted that he had suffered most as the gap lasted but expressed happiness that his umbilical cord had been restored.

The minister revealed that he has personally imbibed some management techniques of Governor Yuguda and that is why he has been striving to create institutions that are meant to drive the transformation programme of President Jonathan.

Speaking earlier, the Bauchi State Governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda thanked President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for appointing one of their sons as the FCT Minister.

According to him, “I have known Senator Bala Mohammed for more than 30 years; I know his heart and antecedents, so I know he will not disappoint Nigerians just like his achievements in his first coming.”

He paid tribute to President Goodluck Jonathan for appointing two ministers from Bauchi State, especially the posting of Senator Mohammed to the FCT which is a focal and rallying point to all Nigerians.
