Parliamentary committee on agriculture Chairman John Mututho maintains that importing genetically modified food into the country is a wrong move despite yesterday’s approval by the cabinet. Mututho says says GM food is unsafe for human consumption. He argues that that the government can use alternative food varieties to feed its population instead of over relying on maize.
