Digital TV is not very popular in Nigeria at this period but there has been some in existence for sometime. One of them is Youtube which is popularly known throughout the world and has a branch office in Festac Town, Lagos.
The company, we gathered from a reliable source is involved in shady deals in recent times. Our sources told us that the company signed some contracts with some producers to view their movies on their site. After the initial agreement, the company came with an excuse in order to reduce the agreed bill. One of the marketers who was affected by this was Chief Aina Kushoro, High Waves Video boss. Also, the newly released movie, ETI KETA was also among the movies affected. Our reliable source hinted that the producer negotiated 3000 dollars with them and was paid half of the money but weeks after, we learnt that they complained that the movie was shown on another site, and because of that, they wanted to reduce the amount to 1000 dollars.
We called the head of Youtube in Nigeria, Jason Chukwuma but his phone was switched off. We also called the manager phone, Bunmi but she didn’t respond.
