After a year of disrepair, the Suleja depot of the Pipeline and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) has finally received Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol through pipelines from Warri Refinery.

For the past twelve months, the depot relied solely on products bridging from Lagos jetties and other refineries.

Sources yesterday told our reporter that the new management of PPMC under the leadership of Haruna Momoh successfully carried out the repair work, adding that plans to repair other dilapidated pipelines are on.

The product supply via pipeline was distorted after several attacks on the pipelines that link the depot with the refinery.

Most of the pipelines in the northern part of Nigeria were vandalised by thieves, which made it difficult for the depots within the region to receive products.

Government spend billions of naira in paying bridging claims as a result of the increase in fleets to distribute the products in the region, leading to scarcity in many parts.
