Mogadishu — The prime minister of Somali transitional federal government of Somalia on Saturday paid a fleeting important visit to some of Mogadishu battle-fields.
Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali observed the military trenches of Somali government forces and African Union peacekeepers in the junctions of Howlwadag, Bakara, Tarabunka and the building of former defense ministry in Benadir region.
Speaking in a news conference held in the building of former defense ministry, the premier mentioned that the government is committed to keep on combat operations against Al shabaab fighters.
He said the government troops backed by AMISOM will take control of Mogadishu in the days to come.
Shedding a light his government’s priority, Ali said Somali forces will be nicely taken care of them.
It is the fist such visit to pay to since he was named to be the prime minister of Somalia last month.
