The Coordinator of Society Against Prostitution and Child Labour in Nigeria , Mrs. Grace Adogo, has called on international organisations and other donor agencies to come to the aid of rehabilitated commercial sex workers in the FCT.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja Thursday, Mrs. Adogo noted that the women who have been rehabilitated and trained in vocational skills by the FCT Rehabilitation Centre need to be given materials to work with as well as take-off grants to start fresh lives.

Mrs. Adogo whose NGO manages the rehabilitation centre, said giving working tools to the women after graduation from the centre is a challenge.

She disclosed that about 80 women would graduate from the centre next month.

“If you watched CNN recently, Nigeria was rated excellent in her efforts in combating prostitution and human trafficking,” she said.
