Nairobi — The club has hired three different coaches heading its technical bench, and the latest, Nick Yakhama, who has been given an ultimatum to resign voluntarily or be fired has only won a single match in the last four fixtures since taking over from Robert Matano.
This has left the club drifting. It is now in position 12, just two positions away from relegation.
This calls for more to be done. Instead, the officials have gone for the simple solution by offloading 10 players whose commitment was in question, and in an attempt to cover the void, spent Sh1.5 million to secure the services of their nine replacements.
This portrays the club officials as people with short vision.
This mistrust between players, coaches and club officials is degenerating into a farce and the sooner it is arrested, the better for the survival of AFC Leopards.
Instead of relying on buying players from outside, the club should start a strong youth structure from which to draw players and sell the excess to their rivals.
