Susan ‘Super Lady’ Muwonge (Subaru N10) is among 11 local drivers who have confirmed participation in the KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2011.
Grace Lubega Jr (Subaru), Wycliffe Bukenya (Evo7), George Richard (Evo9), Ismail Ortega (Levin), Vick Singh (Subaru), Edson Mungyereza (Subaru), Mansoor Ssanya (Subaru), John Burrows Lumu (Subaru) and Ismail Lule (Golf GTI) are the other Ugandans to have confirmed entries for the July 15 to 17 event.
While receiving eight ambulances from Musabala Mwekundu Limited in Wandegeya yesterday, Hajji Juma Nkambwe, the event spokesperson, said he expects more local drivers to beat the Sunday registration deadline. The ambulances will be used to ensure safety in the event. “The theme of the event is safety first that is why the route will be100% free of other traffic,” Nkambwe said.
