Ibadan — All the Directors of Personnel Managements in the 33 local government areas of Oyo State have been summoned by the State House of Assembly to explain the whereabouts of 33 transformers allocated to each council by the immediate past administration of Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.

The transformers were said to have been distributed to the councils towards the end of the tenure of the ex-governor but have been not seen in the councils.

An Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, member of the House, Mr. Olusegun Olaleye representing the Ibadan North 2 State Constituency, moved the motion for the invitation of the DPMs to explain why the transformers had not been installed.

The motion seconded by Mr. Adeyemo Adesina representing Ibarapa State Constituency, got overwhelming support by the House presided over by Speaker Monsurat Sunmonu.

According to the motion, “this honourable House directs the DPMs in the 33 local governments to furnish the house with the distribution pattern showing the location of each of the transformers.

The report should be submitted to the office of the speaker latest by 7th July 2011 and that ad-hoc committee be constituted to study the report when finished”.

In his contribution, Olaniyan David, reminded the law makers of the expectations of the electorate that voted them, saying “the ACN, as a party will not be forgiven if it failed to deliver.
