Borja Valero has joined Villarreal on a permanent basis from West Brom following his loan spell at the club last season.
The 26-year-old was a record signing at the Hawthorns in 2008 after joining for £4.7m, but he failed to settle in the Premier League.
The Spain midfielder – who has been capped once for his country – returned to Real Mallorca on a season-long loan before moving to Villarreal in another loan deal last season.
After doing enough to impress the La Liga club, playing in 35 games and scoring three times, he has signed permanently for an undisclosed fee.
