Kenyans have dropped a whooping seven places to settle at position 130 in the latest Fifa ranking.
This has been attributed to the country’s 1-0 loss to Angola in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match away in Luanda on June 5 and the 2-1 LG Cup friendly match defeat to Sudan last weekend.
Kenya also dropped seven positions to 35th in the Confederation of African Football ranking behind Congo, who also dropped eight positions. Kenya face Uganda and Guinea Bussau in the last round of the Africa Cup of Nation qualifiers, matches they must win to revive their dreams of playing in the continental showcase. Ivory Coast are the highest placed African team at position 14 after climbing an impressive seven places while Ghana dropped 18 places to settle at position 33 ahead of Egypt, who improved tow places. At the top of the table, England moved to fourth place above Brazil despite their recent run of poor form. Spain are top of the ranking, while Netherlands and Germany clung onto their second and third positions respectively.
