Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru has paid all her tax arrears amounting to 1.8 million shillings and instructed Parliament to deduct her tax every month.
Mavoko MP Wavinya Ndeti has also joined the new taxpayers by paying 200 thousand shillings up front with an arrangement to pay her arrears in installments.
Meanwhile Kigumo Mp Jamleck Kamau has instructed the Clerk of the National Assembly to start deducting tax from his salary from 1st July and says he is working on a plan to clear his arrear’s with the KRA in instalments.
