Malabo — Somali president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed leading a distinguished delegation is to attend the African Union summit which opens on Thursday.
Leaders from more than 50 African nations will attend the summit to shed a light on the problems the continent is facing.
In this summit, the heads of state from Africa are expected to discuss the report of the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC) regarding various trouble spots in Africa, including Somalia, Sudan and other countries.
This year the summit is themed “Youth Empowerment” as a basis for peace and sustainable development of the continent.
Reports suggested that sending more troops to Somalia is expected to moot in the African Summit which will be opening tomorrow in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea.
