Luanda — The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, urged on Monday in New York city in US, the international community to support the stabilization process of Guinea Bissau through the implementation of concrete actions.
Manuel Augusto said so during an informal meeting of UN Commission for Peace Consolidation (PBC) destined to Guinea Bissau.
The official said that the Pension Funds created under the reform of defence and security sector should not only be based on international partnership.
The Secretary of State praised the announcement of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) to contribute with USD 63 million to the Pension Funds and he waits anxiously for its operation”.
The Angolan official also looks forward to the outcome of the EU consultations within the framework of the cooperation with Guinea-Bissau.
