BuaNews (Tshwane) 27 June 2011 Pretoria — The Transport Department says no final decision has been taken with regard to the proposed toll tariffs on Gauteng's freeways. The department was reacting to media reports which claimed on Monday that the proposed toll tariff of 66c/km will more than likely not change.

Bosaso — Puntland’s governor of Bari region on Monday resigned from his portfolio.

Abdihafid Ali Yusuf, the governor of Bari region said that he stood down because he said he failed to assure the security and tranquility of the region, Bosaso port town in particular.

Mr. Abdihafid was working as the governor of Bari region in Somalia’s semi-autonomous state of Puntland as insecurity was growing on parts of Puntland.

During his term in office, a number of Puntland officials, peace activists and prominent elders were killed by unknown gunmen or roadside bomb.
