Anti corruption activists who were protesting outside Jogoo House calling for the resignation of Education minister Sam Ongeri were yesterday splashed with human faeces. The activists who had camped at the gate blocked people from getting in.

In the evening, as they were chanting anti Ongeri slogans, a man joined them pretending to be a fellow activist. He was carrying a white sack with a small bucket of feaces in it. As the activists shouted and blocked the road, he dumped the faeces on them. He ran to towards Re-Insurance Plaza but the activists went after him and arrested him.

Angry members of the public wanted to lynch the man but he was saved by the activists and handed over to police at Jogoo House. “There is nothing wrong he has done. He is innocent,” said one police officer. Police later released him. “We cannot allow him to derail our course. We know Ongeri is behind all this,” said the activists.
