Ghana’s Kwadwo Asamoah looking forward to Champions League football with Udinese

Ghana play-maker Kwadwo Asamoah has said he will stay with Italian side Udinese next season to have a feel of Champions League football.

The 22-year-old told a yet to be broadcast sports show on TV3 that talks about a possible move to big clubs do not disrupt his focus to be with the Bianconeri.

The midfielder also said he can be assured of more play time at the Stadio Friuli and staying for another season will be a mark of gratitude to the Zebrette for giving him that exposure in Europe.

“When I went to Italy no one knew me, but now it is going well and I am delighted with that,” he said. “Next season we will play in the Champions League and that for me it is a big dream come true.”

Asamoah said although players will want to rush for big deals with top clubs, he prefers to hold on until the appropriate time.
 
“Every player will like to join a big club but I am not into those things too much.

“What matters to me is that I get the chance to play a lot at Udinese. I think about all that and then stay calm. Football is about time and when the time comes I will make the move that will be best for me,” he added.
