Norway-based star Nosa Igiebor netted a brace for Nigeria to beat star-studded Ghana 3-1 in an All Africa Games qualifier Saturday.

The Black Meteors took the lead on the stroke of half time through Rabiu Mohammed from a goalmouth scramble, before Nigeria drew level in the same fashion through Lillestrom ace Igiebor.

Igiebor then scored his sixth goal for Dream Team V from the penalty spot after a goal-bound Nnamdi Oduamadi was fouled inside the box.

Big central defender Ibok Edet made it 3-1 on 79 minutes after man of the match Igiebor was brought down on the edge of the Ghana 18-yard box.

In the first half, Nigeria struggled especially in the midfield in the absence of skipper Lukman Haruna, who is away in Ukraine to sign a contract with Dynamo Kiev.

Ekigho Ehiosun and Odion Ighalo missed begging chances in the first period as Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah was also clear on goal only to be denied by Nigeria shot stopper Dele Ajiboye.

In the second half, the match was evenly balanced before the Nigerians put on their shooting boots and took the game by the scruff of the neck.

In the dying moments of the game Nigeria goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye pulled off two great saves to ensure the Dream Team go to Ghana with a two-goal cushion.
