The Paramount Chief of Ho Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, has dissociated himself from the controversy over the arrest and detention of popular artiste, Mzbel, known in private life as Mabel Akua Amoah. Togbe Afede has told The Herald newspaper that he does not know Mzbel and has never seen her in anyway. He also said that he did not in any way intervene or try to intervene for her release of the songstress and her accomplices when they were arrested about a fortnight ago, for traffic offence

Mogadishu — The United Nations Political Office for Somalia on Thursday invited some Somali traditional elders from Mogadishu and Bosaso port town to discuss with office about Somalia situation.

Ahmed Diriye Ali, the spokesman of Hawiye traditional elders told Shabelle just minutes before flying from Mogadishu airport that they will tell UNPOS the interests of Somali people and their country.

Mr. Diriye added that they will listen to UPOS introductions and they will take if it’s useful for Somalis.

He said the delegation is consisted of 18 members from some of Somalia regions.
