Nigeria: Overdose, Iyanya, Praiz Set to Headline Sprite Triple Slam 2011

Organisers of the annual Sprite Triple Slam (STS) show have revealed that the 2011 edition, billed to hold in Abuja, Calabar, Enugu and Lagos, will be headlined by rapper, Overdose and singers Iyanya, Praiz and DIL.

The organisers made this known recently at a press conference, adding that this fourth edition comes with a difference as contestants will be rewarded individually as opposed to being appraised as a team which was obtainable in previous editions. Speaking on the show, Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, strategic marketing manager Sprite, stressed the brand’s commitment to youths.

“Sprite stands for the altitude, edginess and swagger of the urbane youth and that initiated Sprite Triple Slam to further strengthen its connection with consumers. It is hinged on the three passion points of today’s youth; dance, music and basketball,” Bayo-Ajayi said.

Prospective contestants will compete in three categories; basketball, dance and music as they battle for the grand prize of N1 million. Regional activations will begin in Enugu on July 1, Calabar on July 8 while that of Abuja and Lagos will hold on July 15 and 22, respectively. The grand finale has been scheduled for Monday August 8, 2011 in Lagos.
