Tessenei — Water pipelines are being put in place in Tessenei town at an expenditure of 114 million Nakfa, according to Mr. Tekleberhan Gebrewold, Administrator of Tessenei sub-zone.
He stated that the installation of water pipelines is being made by the Government, in collaboration with partners, in a bid to ease the previously existing problem. Mr. Tekleberhan further explained that the project involving a major generator, 2 ponds with the capacity of holding 500 cubic meters of water each, 64 water distribution stations and over 80 km-long water pipelines is expected to be finalized shortly.
The residents of the town expressed satisfaction with the newly implemented project and said that it would relieve them from various water-born diseases.
