Silicone breast implants are relatively safe despite frequent complications and a small increased risk of the disease lymphoma, US drug regulators have said. In a new report, the Food and Drug Administration said the risks were well enough understood that prospective patients could make informed decisions. But it found as many as one in five breast augmentation patients had the implants removed within 10 years.

Sampson Cudjoe will play for Medeama next season

Ghana Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club have confirmed the signing of impressive midfielder Sampson Cudjoe on a three-year deal from AshantiGold for an undisclosed fee.

Cudjoe agreed personal terms with the Tarkwa-based side early this week paving way for his transfer.

He has also played for FC Honka in Finland where he featured in the Uefa Europa League qualifying round.

Cudjoe becomes the fourth player to join the side in the off-season.

The former Ghana Under-23 player earned a national team call-up last September for a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan on home soil.
