Tunde Sulaiman 5 June 2011 Four days after upsetting Argentina 4-1 in an international friendly, Nigeria's Super Eagles were brought crashing down to earth when they could only manage a 2-2 with Ethiopia in a more important Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday. Following their stunning win over the South Americans, the Super Eagles arrived Addis Ababa as overwhelming favourites to collect maximum points and impose their will on Group B.

Ghana’s former President turned 64 today.

But unlike most years when family and friends have been around to celebrate with the traditional cake cutting, bowls of scrumptious delicacies, bouquets of flowers and a stream of well-wishers from across the country and beyond, he is celebrating the day quietly in Caracas, Venezuela where he is a special guest at the Afro-descent Forum.

The now 64-year-old former Achimotan had not forgotten those difficult music lessons he endured at his Alma Mater.

Hotel guests and other revellers turned to catch a rare glimpse of His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings strike his favourite Bright Lights, Big City lyrics by Jimmy Reed.

Happy Birthday Papa J!!!!
