It will soon be illegal to employ a domestic workers without a contract.
This is according to COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli who says the contract will protect all domestic workers from abuse. He says some employers have been subjecting their workers to abuse by forcing them to work for long hours and paying them poorly.
He says a team from COTU will conducting impromptu checks to ensure you comply.
