Bakau giants Steve Biko football club once again failed to record their first victory in the ongoing 2011 Gambian premier league season surrendering a 1-0 first half lead to draw 1-1 with relegation rivals Interior FC at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Sunday.
Abdoulie Bojang’s Biko took the lead in the first half of the game after a long-range strike from star midfielder Lamin Camara, otherwise called (Brave), in the 31st minutes, in a tightly contested game sending the hundreds of fans at the Stadium into raptures.
The evening got from bad to worse for Ebrima Manneh’s Interior who were reduced to ten-men on the hour mark after Modou Lamin Senghore was shown a red card.
But Interior somehow still managed to ensure parity with former Tallinding Medina and Tallinding United Bakaramo Ceesay scoring the all important equalizer nine minutes later.
