Four children aged below seven years have this afternoon died in a fire in Nyeri town.
An eye witness says the children had been locked inside a house by one of their mothers when the fire razed down the single room in the Kangemi area.
The remains of the children were found in a corner of the house where it is believed they tried to hide. The fire eventually burnt down 12 houses destroying property worth thousands of shillings.
