Spanish side Getafe have completed the signing of Algerian midfielder Mehdi Lacen.
The 26-year-old moves from rival club Racing Santander and the financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Lacen joins Getafe after spending three seasons with Santander, during which he scored four goals in 100 appearances.
He was part of the Algerian national team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Lacen is seen as a direct replacement for Ghanaian mdifelder Derek Boateng who has signed a deal to leave Getafe for Dnipro.
Getafe are struggling financially as they finished 16th last season in La Liga.
Lacen is Getafe’s fourth summer signing.
